About me
I was born in Kobe, Japan, but I have no idea where I am "from," because my family moved around to different parts of Japan since I was a month old.
I started school in Japan at the age of 6, moved to the United States at the age of 7 and came back to Japan at age 12. Looking back, my elementary school days were overwhelming because I went to seven schools in four different places during the course of six years.
I have lived in Tokyo since coming back from the USA at age 12, and have always believed myself to be a "true Japanese" because I look Japanese (or at least, very Asian) and have tried my best to act like a Japanese person. One day, I realized how I had been too busy "acting" for so long that I had kind of lost a sense of who I really was. This was why I started writing down my thoughts here.
